Research Assistant II Position Number: 8151026 Work Modality: Fully In-Person Job Category: University Staff | Job Type: Full-Time | FLSA Status: Non-Exempt Campus: Maywood-Health Sciences Campus | Department: Department of Cancer Biology | Location Code: Dept of Cancer Biology (06311A) Funding: Yes – grant funded Duties and Responsibilities Performs studies related to pancreatic cancer metabolism under the direct supervision of Principal Investigator. Analyzes and interprets data from experiments. Maintains overall lab organization including ordering supplies, monitoring equipment, and compliance with safety regulations. Train students and other staff in research protocols and lab rules. Attends monthly journal clubs and lab meetings. Presents research results at national and local meetings. Performs related duties as assigned. Minimum Education and Work Experience Minimum Education Required: Bachelor’s Degree Preferred: Master’s Degree – Biological or Physical Sciences Minimum Experience Required: 1–2 years of job‑related experience Preferred: 3–5 years of job‑related experience Qualifications Ability to analyze and interpret data. Ability to communicate verbally. Ability to remain calm and courteous when dealing with people. Ability to complete tasks in a timely manner. Ability to follow oral and written instructions and established procedures. Ability to maintain accuracy and consistency. Ability to work effectively as a team member. Certifications, Computer Skills, and Other Requirements Computer Skills: Basic Computer Skills No supervisory responsibilities. No required operation of university-owned vehicles.
