Spanish Interpreter

Language needed: Spanish - Immediate need Location: Virtual, based in United States, preferably East Coast (Eastern Standard Time) Overview Back to Basics Learning Dynamics is looking for a virtual Spanish interpreter. As a member of our network of Independently Contracted Interpreters, you will be responsible for facilitating language communication for the local community in a variety of settings, including educational, medical, social services, and more. Responsibilities Provide Spanish-English interpreting for virtual school meetings, virtual parent-teacher conferences, virtual medical appointments, and more Provide superior customer service Adhere to Code of Professional Conduct, including maintaining strict standards of confidentiality Adhere to all policies and procedures, including professional interpretation protocols and industry specific best practices Qualifications/Experience Full fluency in both English and Spanish Daytime availability (between the hours of 9AM - 5PM EST) Availability to support our interpreting clients 5 - 10 hours a week Reliable internet and laptop/tablet to access virtual appointments 1 - 2 years of professional interpreting experience preferred, but not required Industry specific certifications/trainings preferred (CMI, CCHI, etc.), but not required Candidates must be willing to get a background check including Federal, State, and Child Abuse Registry Must have reliable phone service for contact Must be comfortable with using a computer or smart phone for job input By submitting my application, I certify that the information I have provided in this application is true and complete.
