A leading academic medical center in Massachusetts is seeking a Board Certified, Fellowship-trained Non-Invasive Cardiologist for an inpatient locum tenens assignment beginning in October 2026.

This opportunity offers a highly desirable Monday through Friday daytime schedule with no call responsibilities while practicing in a collaborative academic environment supported by dedicated advanced practice providers. Physicians will provide consultative inpatient cardiology services, manage a manageable daily census, and work alongside experienced multidisciplinary teams utilizing Epic EMR.

The assignment offers scheduling flexibility, allowing physicians to provide as little as one week of coverage or commit to a longer-term engagement.

Assignment Highlights

• October 2026 – March 2027 assignment
• Monday–Friday
• 8:00 AM–5:00 PM
• No call
• No weekends
• 100% inpatient cardiology
• Approximately 5–15 patients daily
• One APP assigned to the service
• Epic EMR

• Coverage between Memorial Campus and North Pavilion
• Fellowship-trained Non-Invasive Cardiologist required
• Massachusetts License, DEA and CSR required

Job Responsibilities

• Perform inpatient cardiology consultations
• Round on hospitalized cardiology patients
• Evaluate and manage acute cardiovascular conditions
• Interpret ECGs, telemetry, echocardiograms, stress testing, and other non-invasive cardiac diagnostics
• Develop evidence-based treatment plans
• Collaborate with hospitalists, intensivists, surgeons, and consulting specialists
• Work collaboratively with dedicated APP support
• Document all encounters in Epic EMR
• Participate in multidisciplinary patient care planning
