Skilled Quality Assurance TechnicianNesco Resource is seeking a Skilled Quality Assurance Technician for our long-term Automotive Service Parts Manufacturing Client in Livonia. This is a CONTRACT role, with potential for extension or permanent placement. Shift: 6:00 am to 4:30 pm, Monday through Friday, Overtime Saturdays when needed. Pay: $24/hr Contract Terms: 6 Month MinimumPrimary ResponsibilitiesConducting initial piece and in-process inspections on transmission parts and automotive fluid lines/tubingPerforming the basic mechanical testing various product types and components that consist of programming and running test lab equipment in conjunction with following written procedures, methods, and/or instructionsSupporting warranty leads returned parts for processing and testingAssisting Quality Lead with warranty part root cause analysisPrepare samples for testing, conducts testDocumenting and email end-of-shift reports and include any issues found as requiredReviewing GD&T measures and blueprint interpretationUsing precision measurement toolsFamiliar with pneumatic and hydraulic machinesAbility to track and interpret compressed gages and maintain calibration recordsPerforming layer checks, line inspections, STP, and final auditsLogging data into excel spreadsheet and company databaseMaintaining records of work performed, provides summaries and reports results of findingsAssist with the migration from a SharePoint-based return log to the entrepôt PRSLab work to review specifications to generate dimensional and inspection documentation results and determine if parts meet compliance requirementsFollow general safety rules and Company policies and procedures.Perform Special Assignments as delegatedQualificationsHigh School Diploma or EquivalentPrevious Quality Inspection experience, requiredStrong mechanical aptitude, as well as technical and analytical problem-solving skillsProficient in Microsoft OfficeAbility to evaluate and communicate complex/technical information in a clear matterKnowledge of compliance protocolsAbility to read/interpret blueprintsBasic math and computer skills, requiredAbility to work in a fast-paced environmentAbility to lift up to 50 lbsNesco Resource offers a comprehensive benefits package for our associates, which includes a MEC (Minimum Essential Coverage) plan that encompasses Medical, Vision, Dental, 401K, and EAP (Employee Assistance Program) services.
