Billing Specialist

Job Title: Billing Specialist Location: Park Springs Department: Accounting Position Overview The Billing Specialist is responsible for performing data entry and clerical support functions while assisting the Accounting Director with the daily coordination and operations of the Accounting Department. This role is also responsible for the accurate and timely processing of invoices for multiple departments across Park Springs. Key Responsibilities Compiles and inputs member demographics into the computer for billing and as well; using several programs to accomplish this including Matrixcare and Retail tracker along with insurance and Medicare Websites. Receives and posts ancillary charges for monthly billing. Billing and Collections for Independent Living, Assisted Living, Memory Care, Adult Day, At Home, Skilled Nursing and Outpatient Therapy. Process charges for Medicare Part A and B claims and insurance processing. Facilitates Triple Check meeting each month for Medicare and Managed Care A billing. Balances cash receipts and run End of Month processing. Post incoming payments from members, insurance and Medicare. Monthly analysis of Accounts Receivable. Observe all safety rules and regulations. HIPAA ComplianceFollows written policies and procedures to ensure confidentiality of protected health information. OIG ComplianceFollows written policies and procedures to comply with the federal and state laws and regulations. Interacts with members and coworkers in a friendly and respectful manner. Qualifications Associate degree from an accredited twoyear college or university, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Minimum of three (3) years of related work experience and/or specialized training. Equivalent combinations of education, training, and relevant experience that demonstrate the required knowledge, skills, and abilities will be considered. Physical Demands and Work Environment Must be able to sit at a desk for up to six hours per day; must be able to stoop, bend, stretch, and squat to access files and various documentation; must be able to lift to 20 pounds frequently; may be exposed to a constant noise level due to the printers located in the office.
