Controls EngineerThe Controls Engineers at Koops design, develop, and debug control systems for primarily end of line Packaging automation equipment across a wide range of industries. We're looking for a talented, creative, and self-motivated engineer to join a highly collaborative team where problem-solving, creativity, and a strong team dynamic drive success.What You'll DoDesign, develop, and debug control systems for end of line packaging equipmentProgram and troubleshoot PLCs, HMIs, robots, and motion control systemsDevelop electrical layouts and detailed schematics using CAD softwareIntegrate sensors, pneumatics, and vision systems into automation solutionsCollaborate cross-functionally with mechanical, project, and build teamsWork directly with customers to understand requirements and deliver solutionsSupport on-site debugging and system startup as needed (travel ~25%)What We're Looking For We're seeking an engineer who enjoys solving complex problems, values teamwork, and takes pride in delivering high-quality automation solutions. Our ideal candidate has 5-10 years of controls experience in the automation industry. Direct packaging equipment experience is preferred.QualificationsExperience with electrical design software, PLCs, HMIs, robots, motion control, pneumatics, and vision systemsProven ability to produce electrical layouts and detailed schematics using CAD toolsStrong cross-functional collaboration skillsExcellent communication skills to understand customer needs and coordinate solutionsTeam-oriented mindsetProfessional presence with a focus on quality and customer satisfactionHigh standard of integrityCreative problem-solving abilitiesEducation & ExperienceFour-year engineering degree or equivalent applicable work experienceAt least 5 years of Controls Engineering experience in automationWillingness and ability to travel approximately 25%Why Koops?
