Contract | Full-Time | Onsite | 12-Hour Night Shifts | Every other weekend and major holiday required

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct initial and ongoing patient assessments, develop and implement individualized plans of care, and evaluate nursing interventions for obstetrical patients across antepartum, intrapartum, postpartum, and gynecological settings
• Circulate and assist with cesarean sections and vaginal deliveries, including scrubbing/assisting as needed
• Administer medications including magnesium sulfate, perform electronic fetal monitoring, and conduct vaginal exams in support of the maternal/fetal dyad
• Provide triage, prioritization, stabilization, resuscitation, and emergency management for women of all ages and high-acuity patient populations including those with language barriers, substance use, and chronic conditions affecting pregnancy
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams to coordinate patient care and advocate for patient and family safety and well-being
• May be required to float within the New Life Center or to other Labor & Delivery units within the region

Required Qualifications

• Current RN license in the state of Virginia or covered by compact licensure
• Minimum 1–2 years of recent Labor & Delivery experience including antepartum, intrapartum, cesarean section, postpartum, and magnesium sulfate administration
• BLS (Basic Life Support) required
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) required
• NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) required
• Hospital-based clinical experience required

Preferred Experience / Skills

• At least 3 years of Labor & Delivery experience with C-EFM (Certified Electronic Fetal Monitoring) certification
• Experience with EPIC Electronic Health Record and Perinatal Centricity (QS)
• Ability to scrub and assist in deliveries
• Fetal Heart Monitoring (FHM) certification preferred
