Overview This is a travel position. You must live more than 30 miles from the facility to be considered for this position. Position Type: Travel Description: X-Ray Technologist Position Shift Details: 40 hours per week, Monday – Friday days (between 7:30am – 5:30pm EST). No call or holidays. Location: Rochester, New York Pay and Benefits: Competitive pay; up to $2700 per week, or $67.50 per hour, plus benefits. 13‑week assignment with a 40-hour week and 5 shifts per week. Pay package is based on 40 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with a tax-free stipend amount to be determined for travel positions. Position Details Type of Position: Travel X-Ray Technologist Responsibilities and Requirements are listed below. Responsibilities Verifying patients' identity and reviewing physicians' orders before beginning x-ray procedures Using x-ray equipment to take radiographic images of patients' bones, tissues, and organs as per physicians' written orders Explaining x-ray procedures to patients and answering their questions Positioning patients accordingly, which may include lifting and moving patients with limited mobility Handling all radiologic equipment safely and properly, keeping dose to the patient as low as possible Observing each patient's status and interpreting the appropriate information needed to meet age-specific needs Producing a diagnostic, high-quality image for interpretation by the Radiologist Promptly notifying management of damaged or malfunctioning x-ray equipment Utilizing electronic patient information systems to verify patient name, date, appropriate exam, and any special exam comments from the provider; practicing the dual patient identifier procedure Maintaining accurate patient records by properly identifying images and ensuring images are sent to the PACS system correctly Requirements Completion of formal training in an approved School of Radiologic Technology and certification through the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) NYS license (or ability to obtain before starting) 2 years of X-ray Technologist experience Comfortable in the operating room and with some portable equipment Ability to move or lift patients Ability to stand for extended periods Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills Effective written and verbal communication skills A patient and compassionate disposition Team player who can maintain a cohesive working environment Additional Requirements BLS Experience using C-arm/O-arm in the past 8 months Required Skills NYS Rad Tech License ARRT 2 years of experience BLS #J-18808-Ljbffr
