Outpatient Therapy Program Director

The client seeks an Executive Team member to provide oversight of the Outpatient Therapy Program and support general management of agency services. The role is responsible for ensuring coordinated, high-quality clinical care for children and resource families by guiding outpatient operations, strengthening collaboration with other service providers, and helping drive program implementation toward established goals. Key responsibilities include leading and supervising outpatient staff, providing regular supervision to clinicians and clinical supervisors, evaluating and measuring clinical performance, and supporting staffing decisions in accordance with client policies and procedures. The role will assign cases based on specialty, skill level, and client need; ensure clinic records are current and meet regulatory and insurance requirements; coordinate case consultation with clinicians and a psychiatrist; participate in policy and procedure development for the psychiatric outpatient clinic; and develop ongoing education and training plans for clinicians. The position also supports billing timeliness and accuracy and serves as a liaison within the broader service system. To be successful, the client expects proficiency with health insurance and managed care systems, familiarity with evidence-based and relational treatment approaches (including approaches such as DBT, CBT, TFCBT, and TBRI), and an understanding of infant mental health and trauma-informed perspectives. Additional expectations include knowledge of adoption and foster care regulations and systems, basic computer proficiency, strong counseling and writing skills, organizational and time management abilities, cultural competency, flexibility, and the ability to work independently and collaboratively. A Master’s degree in social work or a related field and current licensure comparable to LCSW, LPC, or LMFT are required, along with an ability to participate in professional development and training opportunities.
