About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day 4x10 Hours per Shift: 10 hours Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience required. License: Must have active state license. Certifications: ACLS, BLS required. Must-Have: Experience in level 1 trauma and high volume/high acuity catheterization laboratory. Minimum of one year of electrophysiology experience required. Description: The Registered Nurse will work in the diagnostic and interventional PCI environment. The RN circulator will provide conscious sedation under the direction of the attending physician. Responsibilities include handing off sterile supplies, assessing vitals, and documenting in the electronic medical records system. There will be opportunities to cross-train to run hemodynamics in the monitor technician role. The patient ratio is 1:1. Shifts will rotate between 07:00 - 17:30 and 10:00 - 20:30 as needed. Call rotation is required, including evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays. Candidates must be open to floating within the service line to meet facility needs. Weekend shifts are required every other weekend. Experience with interventional scrub procedures is necessary. Top patient diagnoses include Acute Myocardial Infarction, chest pain, heart failure, NSTEMI, and aortic stenosis. Special equipment used includes electronic medical records and cardiac assist devices.
