IT Specialist

Evans & Dixon is currently seeking to add an IT Specialist to join our expanding and fast-paced Kansas City office. Candidates must be responsible, able to multi-task, possess the ability to continuously build and improve IT knowledge; have excellent technical and interpersonal skills; have a creative and diplomatic approach to problem solving and a keen sense of organization. We are looking for self-disciplined candidates with a strong work ethic. Responsibilities Work closely with IT Staff and IT consultants to maintain proper function of the firm's technology systems and environment Follow company IT security protocols and assist in maintaining network integrity and compliance standards Respond to user inquiries and troubleshoot hardware, software, and network issues to ensure minimal downtime and maximum productivity. Log, track, and resolve tickets using help desk software; escalate unresolved issues to appropriate IT personnel when necessary. Ensure timely notification to users on system changes and system outages Assist with setup and deployment of workstations, laptops, mobile devices, conference room equipment, and peripheral equipment. Education And Qualifications Associate or Bachelor's degree in Information Technology Computer Science Computer Information Systems Other related technical fields Previous Helpdesk experience. Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Proficient in basic network cabling tasks, such as creating patch cables and installing structured cabling. Compensation & Work Schedule This is a full-time position. Ability to work 40 hours a week This position is based at our downtown Kansas City office and will spend significant time at our Overland Park office.
