Shift: 3rd shift - 10:00 pm - 6:15 am (Sun-Thurs)

Pay & Total Rewards

The pay range for this position is $18.40-$25.80 per hour, along with additional compensation through overtime and 10% shift differential when working an off-shift. The starting pay offered is based on your skills, experience, and additional qualifications needed for the role.

This position comes with a $1,500 sign on bonus, which is payable after your first 30 days worked. You must be actively employed with us at the time of payout to receive the sign on bonus. Sign-on bonus payments are subject to any legally required or elected withholdings, and applicable federal, state, and local taxes.

Position Summary

As a Level II Machine Operator, you'll be part of our manufacturing team, producing fluid-system components that meet the highest quality standards. This role is ideal for an entry-level machinist who is eager to learn, can work independently, maintain high quality production standards, and recognize when additional support is needed while maintaining a strong focus on safety. You'll be provided all the tools and gauges necessary to be successful in your role.

You'll have the opportunity to learn every day, continuously expanding your technical knowledge gaining experience working on a variety of machines producing various parts in a clean, modern, temperature-controlled manufacturing environment.

What You'll Do

Your day will include a variety of responsibilities that keep production running safely and efficiently, including:

• Follow Swagelok's production system such as participating in a daily shift start-up meeting with your team. You'll give or receive a shift handoff report that sets the incoming or outgoing shifts up for success.
• Operate and monitor manufacturing equipment according to standard work instructions.
• Follow standard work instructions and quality plans according to specs.
• Inspect finished parts using precision measuring equipment such as micrometers, calipers, comparators, ring gauges, dial indicators, smart gauges, and other inspection tools.
• Monitor machine outputs. Identify quality, machining, tooling, and process issues and escalate to support associates to resume production.
• Complete preventative maintenance and routine machine care.
• Document production activities accurately and maintain manufacturing records.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area while following all safety procedures.

We're looking for someone who enjoys hands-on work, has a strong mechanical aptitude, takes pride in producing high-quality parts, and thrives in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Successful candidates will have:

• High school diploma or GED.
• Basic math skills, adding and subtracting fractions and decimals
• Self-motivated with an ability to learn in a fast-paced environment

Even better if you have:

• Machining experience or mechanical background
• Experience in a manufacturing production environment
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing quality work.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• A willingness to work overtime hours as needed

Physical Requirements

This position requires working in a manufacturing environment and may include:

• Standing and walking for extended periods.
• Frequent bending, reaching, and stooping.
• Lifting materials weighing 2535 pounds regularly and up to 50 pounds occasionally.
• Working safely around manufacturing equipment.
• Passing required vision acuity testing, where applicable.
