The Diagnostic Imaging department plays an important role in supporting emergency care, inpatient services, outpatient diagnostics, and specialty clinics. Position Overview The Imaging Technologist performs diagnostic imaging procedures that support the diagnosis and treatment of injury and disease. Working closely with physicians and clinical teams, this role helps ensure accurate imaging, patient safety, and compassionate care across both inpatient and outpatient settings. Technologists operate a range of imaging equipment and play a key role in delivering high-quality diagnostic studies while creating a comfortable experience for patients. Key Responsibilities Perform diagnostic radiographic procedures based on physician orders Operate imaging equipment including fixed radiology equipment, portable X-ray, C-arm, and CT Ensure accurate patient positioning and image quality Maintain strict radiation safety standards for patients and staff Prepare and educate patients before procedures to ensure comfort and cooperation Collaborate with physicians and clinical teams to support timely diagnosis Maintain imaging records and documentation according to department policies Monitor equipment functionality and assist with preventative maintenance Maintain imaging supplies and support efficient department operations Participate in the departments on-call rotation for evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays as needed Qualifications Education High school diploma or GED required Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program Licensure and Certifications Washington State Diagnostic Radiologic Technologist license required ARRT Registered Radiologic Technologist required ARRT CT certification required BLS certification required Experience Minimum one year of recent clinical experience preferred New graduates with strong clinical training may also be considered Benefits Full-time benefits include: Medical, dental, and vision coverage Retirement plan options Health Savings Account and Flexible Spending Account options Life insurance and long-term disability coverage Generous paid time off Why Rural Healthcare Matters Imaging professionals in rural hospitals play a critical role in their communities.
