We believe attorneys learn by doing. From day one, you will have the opportunity to handle substantive legal work, appear in court, communicate directly with clients, and take an active role in your cases.

What You'll Do

• Represent clients in probate court and before governmental agencies
• Appear in court and advocate for clients' interests
• Prepare, draft, and review pleadings, petitions, motions, and other legal documents
• Meet with clients and provide practical legal advice and guidance
• Manage your own caseload and move cases forward efficiently
• Negotiate settlements and resolve disputes
• Conduct legal research and analyze complex legal issues
• Communicate with clients, opposing counsel, courts, and other professionals
• Maintain compliance with applicable laws, court rules, and ethical requirements
• Perform administrative and case-management functions associated with the practice of law

What We're Looking For

• Licensed attorney in the State of Michigan
• Prior legal experience preferred, but motivated attorneys looking to develop their probate practice are encouraged to apply
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to build strong relationships with clients
• Ability to work independently while also being a collaborative member of a team
• Professional, dependable, and motivated attitude
• Willingness to learn and take ownership of your cases
