Stockroom and Production Control ClerkPOWAY, CA Immediately Temporary/ContractDescriptionVolt is immediately hiring Stockroom and Production Control Clerk for a local leading Manufacturing Company in Poway Ca.As a Stockroom and Production Control Clerk you will:Manage inventory by receiving, issuing, identifying, counting, moving, storing, and packaging materials according to established procedures.Pick and kit materials for production work orders.Replenish production line materials as needed.Perform cycle counts, investigate inventory discrepancies, and maintain accurate inventory records.Support all departments with stockroom and material requests.Follow FIFO (First In, First Out) inventory practices.Process completed work orders and receive finished goods into inventory.Monitor material shortages and communicate issues to planners and buyers.Organize and store materials in a safe, orderly, and accessible manner.Track inventory levels and initiate replenishment activities when needed.Assist with work-in-process (WIP) audits and production inventory reviews.Coordinate with Planning, Purchasing, Quality, Production, and Shipping to ensure timely material availability and accurate transactions.Provide WIP status updates and support production scheduling to improve efficiency.Participate in continuous improvement initiatives, including Lean and Kaizen projects.May assist with Shipping duties as needed:Verify incoming shipments for accuracy, labeling, quantity, documentation, and packaging.Process receipts based on priority requirements.Operate forklifts as required.Prepare shipping documents and packing lists.Pack and stage products for customer shipments.Ensure compliance with export regulations and company policies.Coordinate shipment schedules with Production, Planning, and Sales teams.This is a Full-Time temp-to-hire OpportunityThe ideal candidate will have:Required Skills & QualificationsRequires a high school education or equivalent (GED)Minimum of 2-5 years closely related experienceExperience using an ERP system for material transactionsIntermediate Word & Excel skills to create spreadsheets, graphs, etc.Ability to obtain forklift certificationUnderstands BOMs and Routings related to production workordersFamiliar with backflush/frontflush/kanban processes and point of use inventoryAbility to manage changing priorities and work with minimum supervision in a fast-paced environmentAn understanding of inventory management procedures and terminology such as stocking locations, SKU's, inventory variances and cycle countingLifting up to 50 lbsSome college experience preferred or material/inventory control certificatesU.S. Person for access to ITAR-Controlled Technical DataPreferred Skills & QualificationsSome college experience preferred or material/inventory control certificatesKnowledge of 7S methodology is a plusExperience in writing work instructions and procedures is a plusExperience or training in lean methodologies is a plusSchedule: Monday-Friday 7am-3:30pmPay Rate: $22/hr plus overtime as needed.*Pay Rate offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc.Qualified candidates should APPLY NOW for immediate consideration!
