Application Systems AnalystThe Application Systems Analyst works on the Enterprise Solutions Services (ESS) Applications Team and collaborates closely with department managers, end users, and subject matter experts to help deliver solutions to fit the Church's business needs. This position provides quality analyses of new and existing solutions and configures features and functionality to improve business processes. Further they conduct testing, locate potential problems, and solve them in an efficient manner.Support Ongoing AdministrationRespond to issues reported by users; research and resolve issues in a timely fashion with some oversightWork with vendors to understand and resolve escalated issuesPerform application support, including but not limited to: application setup, configuration, implementation, maintenance, updates, user access, permissions, and security. It also involves troubleshooting, researching user problems, resolving production issuesPerform compliance maintenance, ensures existing infrastructure, applications and business processes meet with current and future regulatory controls placed on our organization (GAAP, PCI, HIPPA)Provide excellent customer service: communicate in a comprehensive and warm manner, and participate in vendor user groups and online listservs, and review contents of vendor updates, to ensure optimization of the capabilities of the assigned applicationsSupport user adoption through support and training super users.Capture, analyze and deliver meaningful insights from application usage and metricsSupport Project ActivityWork with users to understand and define requirementsReview, analyze and evaluate Enterprise applications along with current business processes and departmental requirementsImplement configuration changesDevelop and execute test scenarios based on requirementsConfirm solution successSupport digital transformation efforts by implementing approved AI features and enhancements in a secure and governed mannerSupport AdministrationHave a developed understanding of application functionality -attending trainings and/or reading documentationPerform maintenance of existing and drafting of new ESS documentation to support the Applications Team and the organizationParticipate in vendor user groups and forums, and review contents of vendor updates, to ensure optimization of the capabilities of the assigned applicationsUpdates work tracking tools and other administrative tasksReporting RelationshipsSupervisor: Enterprise Application Engineering ManagerRegular ContactsThis position has regular contact with fellow TF CCS employees, including TF CCS service departments, Enterprise Solutions Services and Digital Solutions Services peers, the Service Desk, Department Managers, and the Enterprise Portfolio Project Management Office, and vendors.Job RequirementsEducation/ExperienceBachelor's degree required (equivalent experience may be considered)Experience as an Application Analyst or similar experience preferredKnowledge/SkillsExcellent interpersonal, communication (written, verbal), and presentation skills are requiredActive listenerPracticed at learning new vendor application(s) and utilizing application tools to tailor system(s) to meet user requirements is requiredEnterprise application support and business process expertise is requiredUnderstanding of data modeling, database management, project management, business analysis and business process mapping is preferredExperience gathering requirements and writing users stories is preferredTechnology SkillsProficient with Google Suite and Microsoft Office Products is requiredFoundational knowledge of a software language is preferredWork EnvironmentPreference for onsite work in Boston, but may possibly work remotely with periodic visits to the Boston office as needed.Engagement with Christian ScienceMother Church membership preferredPrimary Class instruction preferredPay range: $87,428 - $113,655.80 annuallyThe pay ranges disclosed in our job postings are the compensation ranges the Church reasonably and in good faith expects to pay for a given position at the time of posting.The offered salary will be determined by factors such as the applicant's relevant education, experience, knowledge, skills, abilities; and benchmarking, work location, and internal equity.In compliance with federal law, all persons hired will be required to verify identity and eligibility to work in the United States and to complete the required employment eligibility verification document form upon hire.Equal Opportunity Employer This employer is required to notify all applicants of their rights pursuant to federal employment laws.
