We are currently seeking a SAP Finance Architect to join our team in Hyderabad, Telangana (IN-TG), India (IN).

Job Summary

Seeking a skilled and aspiring Global Template Owner for the SAP FICO (S4/HANA) module at Thermo Fisher Scientific Inc. You will collaborate closely with partners, IT teams, and external consultants to develop and lead our global SAP financial and controlling template. Your main responsibility is to ensure alignment with business processes and financial goals, supporting our mission to enable a healthier, cleaner, and safer world.

Key Responsibilities

Template Design and Governance:

• Lead the design and governance of the global SAP FICO template to ensure consistency and alignment with business objectives.
• Establish and uphold global standards, policies, and confirmed methods for the SAP FICO module.
• Ensure the template supports legal and regulatory requirements across different regions.

Implementation and Rollout:

• Coordinate the implementation and rollout of the SAP FICO module in S4/HANA across all business units and regions.
• Coordinate with project managers, business analysts, and technical teams to ensure successful deployment of the template.
• Deliver mentorship and support during the testing, training, and implementation phases.

Collaborative Engagement:

• Act as the main point of contact for all SAP FICO-related matters.
• Collaborate with collaborators to understand their requirements and translate them into SAP FICO solutions.
• Host collaborative sessions and gatherings to collect input and feedback from collaborators.

Continuous Improvement:

• Be accountable for and evaluate the performance of the SAP FICO module and identify areas for improvement.
• Stay updated with the latest SAP FICO features and functionalities and suggest improvements to the template.
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives to optimize processes and system performance.

Support and Maintenance:

• Provide ongoing support and maintenance for the SAP FICO module.
• Fix and resolve issues related to the SAP FICO template.
• Collaborate with external vendors and consultants to ensure the stability and reliability of the system.

Qualifications

- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Finance, Accounting, Information Technology, or a related field. Having a Master’s degree or relevant certification (e.g., SAP Certified Application Associate - Financial Accounting with SAP ERP) is an added advantage.

• Confirmed ability in SAP FICO, with at least 3-5 years in a similar role.
• Expertise to include General Ledger (GL), Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), Asset Accounting (AA), and Controlling (CO).
• Demonstrable experience in crafting and implementing global SAP FICO templates.
• Confirmed comprehension of financial processes and accounting principles.
• Excellent project management skills, with a history of effectively delivering SAP projects on time and within budget.
• Outstanding communication and social skills, with the ability to efficiently collaborate with partners at all levels.
• Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with SAP S/4HANA migration projects.
• Knowledge of integration points between SAP FICO and other SAP modules (e.g., MM, SD, PP).
• Experience in a multinational corporation with complex financial processes.
• Proficiency in additional languages is a plus.

Working Conditions

• This position may require occasional travel to various business locations.
• Flexibility to work across different time zones as needed.
