Paid Time Off (PTO) 6 Paid Holidays and 2 Floating Holidays Group Term Life Insurance Long-Term Disability Health/Vision Insurance 403(b) Retirement Plan Position Wellness Assistant – Part Time (potential to transition to Full Time) Location: Durham, NC Job Id: 705 # of Openings: 1 Schedule: Monday, Wednesday, Friday – 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Tuesday, Thursday – 12 p.m. to 6 p.m. Responsibilities Assist Wellness Director with setting up and promoting special events on campus, including Wellness Fair, Fall Prevention Week, Senior Olympics, Triathlon, etc. Provide and schedule ongoing fitness assessments and personal training sessions. Teach and/or substitute exercise classes for seniors and employees, including Aqua Strength, Dance Fitness, Circuit Training, Boxing, Weights and Bands, Balance, Yoga, etc. Keep accurate client records and track class attendance through electronic portal. Maintain pool and fitness areas. Other duties as assigned by Wellness Director. Required Skills and Abilities Ability to work comfortably with older adults. Understanding and accommodating the needs associated with the aging population. Intermediate computer skills with ability to learn new technology. Education and Experience High school diploma or equivalent required. Must have CPR certification or be willing to obtain. Nationally recognized personal training and/or group exercise certifications (e.g., ACSM, NASM, ACE). At least one year of experience working with the senior population.
