All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, disability status, protected veteran status or any other characteristic protected by law.Job description: Failure Analysis OperatorSchedule: Monday to Friday – 7:30 am to 4:00 pmPayrate: Range $19.00 to $23.00 – DOELocation: Durham N C 27703Job Duties & Responsibilities:Troubleshoots, debugs, and determines root cause at multiple system levels for customer devicesAnalyzes circuits and topologies to identify marginal failure root causes.Drives recovery actions and repairs for failing devicesDevelops, maintains, and improves all troubleshooting solutions within area or responsibility.Works with various engineering groups to determine if the data indicates a need for process/product improvement, and provides input on improvement opportunitiesAssists with the fabrication and development of new equipment, fixtures, and test programs.Improves the Failure Analysis Procedure, and supports cross-trainingKnowledge of failure analysis techniques and methodologiesJob Qualifications:At least 7 Years' experience within an Electronics Tech or relevant role, troubleshooting root cause and failure analysis. In addition, hands on experience in technique enablement and development of supporting HW for Fault isolation and / vacum based microscopic systems (e.g., SEM, DMM)Knowledge of failure analysis techniques and methodologiesAssociates Degree or Higher in Electronics Technology, or equivalent disciplineHighly proficient in reading and interpreting assembly drawings, schematics, and board layoutExperience in troubleshooting analog and digital circuitsFamiliar with the use of a variety of testing and measuring devices such as DMM, oscilloscopes, and benchtop power supplies.Familiar with data collection and analysisIs able to set up test stations and device connections per work instructionsFamiliar with device and test station maintenanceEnergetic and enthusiastic with a strong sense of personal responsibility.Strong verbal, customer-facing, and written communication skillsWell organized & disciplined with good attention to detailMust have experience in soldering with PCBs and micro componentsPosition Requirements: Education and work experienceExperience in operations, working with electronics; preferably in a troubleshooting role.Knowledge of quality tools.Excellent analytic and troubleshooting capability.Ability to communicate with internal / external customers in both technical and non-technical terms.Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.Results oriented attitude and motivation with a keen attention to detail and high standards for quality.Ability to influence cross-functional teams and diverse workgroups.Ability to self-motivate and demonstrate a task-oriented attitude and strong customer focus.Electronics degree / diploma and / or equivalent demonstrated experience.Location: Assemblix Staffing NCThis position is currently accepting applications.
