Registered Nurse (RN) Behavioral Health

Oakwood Springs Behavioral Health Hospital, Oklahoma City, OK Registered Nurse (RN), Behavioral Health – RN Nights (7pm-7am) unit 1 How You’ll Contribute You will perform patient assessments, initiate appropriate nursing interventions, provide care tailored to patient condition and age, document appropriately, complete and revise interdisciplinary care plans, perform quality improvement assessments, oversee and supervise the shift, demonstrate leadership and ensure nursing policies are followed, monitor patient condition, administer medication per hospital policy, use empathy, dignity, and respect, and ensure quality nursing care aligned with treatment plans. Accurately performs patient assessments and identifies patient needs Identifies and initiates appropriate nursing interventions Provides care appropriate to condition and age of the patient Performs timely and appropriate documentation relating to medical necessity Responsible for completion and revision of the Interdisciplinary Care Plan for each patient Performs timely and accurate QI assessments Assesses the patient and plans care within set timeframes and documents findings per policies Oversees and supervises the shift Demonstrates leadership through duties such as delegating tasks, groups, close observation, meal supervision, etc. Ensures nursing policies and procedures are followed and exemplary patient care is delivered Monitors patient for change of condition and responds appropriately, including physician notification Follows hospital policy for medication administration Uses empathy, dignity, and respect when interacting with patients Ensures quality nursing care to execute goals of treatment plan per policies and nursing competencies Assists/performs comprehensive nursing assessments on all patients What We’re Looking For Associate's degree in nursing required Current Registered Nurse license as required by state regulations 1-year experience in a psychiatric health care facility preferred CPR certification required within 30 days of employment before patient contact De-escalation certification required within 30 days of employment before patient contact Benefits Comprehensive benefits: medical, dental, vision coverage, tailored for part-time and PRN employees Paid time off and paid family leave Life, accident, critical illness, hospital indemnity, short- and long-term disability insurance Tuition assistance, loan assistance, 401(k) retirement package with company match Employee wellness programs including gym memberships, virtual care appointments, and mental health services Professional development and career advancement opportunities Shift differential EEOC Statement Oakwood Springs is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
