Step into a dynamic educational environment supporting students in both high school and elementary settings as both a Special Education Teacher and a Behavior Intervention Specialist. This contract opportunity offers a unique blend—spending mornings collaborating with high school students in a dedicated crew and afternoons providing behavior intervention expertise at the elementary level. The role spans the academic year, starting in late August 2026 and running through early June 2027, with a structured schedule from 7am to 3pm, Monday through Friday.

Key Qualifications:

• Current Minnesota Tier 3 or Tier 4 teaching license (required for submission)
• Background in special education and behavioral interventions within school settings
• Experience developing and implementing behavior support plans
• Strong collaborative and consultative skills to partner with fellow educators
• Ability to adapt behavior strategies for both high school and elementary-aged students

Primary Responsibilities:

• Instruct high school students with special needs during morning sessions, focusing on individualized education plans and academic growth
• Serve as the elementary Behavior Intervention Specialist in the afternoons, consulting with teachers to develop behavior strategies and intervention plans
• Support classroom teams by offering guidance, resources, and modeling best practices in behavior management
• Monitor student progress, document interventions, and participate in team meetings to ensure cohesive support
• Foster a positive, inclusive environment that encourages student engagement and personal growth
