About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Labor and Delivery Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 1 Year License: Active RN License Required Certifications: BLS, ACLS, AWHONN Intermediate and Advanced, NRPS Must-Have: - Charge experience preferred or willingness to train as charge Description: L&D RN required for a high-risk labor and delivery unit. Candidates must possess an active RN license for consideration. The assignment length is 13 weeks, with night shifts scheduled for 4x12 hours. First-time travelers are welcome to apply. Guaranteed hours are included, and travelers may be called off for 1 shift every 2 weeks. The facility has a total of 10 OB Triage rooms and 10 Labor Delivery Recovery rooms, with an average of 7 deliveries per day, often accommodating up to 14 patients including inductions and high-risk antepartum. The unit supports a variety of obstetrical procedures, including cervical cerclage and cesarean sections. A solid understanding of fetal heart rate patterns and emergency interventions is essential. Strong skills in patient assessment, medication administration, and postpartum care are required. Willingness to work weekends is necessary, as is flexibility to support unit needs as they arise. The facility promotes a collaborative environment with multidisciplinary support services. Candidates should be prepared to float to similar units if required.
