ICU Registered Nurse (RN)

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced ICU Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team for a 12-week contract position in Evanston, IL. The selected candidate will take part in comprehensive orientation and be ready to provide exceptional care in a fast-paced environment.

Scheduling Details

Orientation Schedule: Classroom/EKG: 6-8 hours on Mondays. Unit Orientation: 12 hours on Tuesdays. Non-billable Orientation: 8 hours.

Shift Details: 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM. Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend. Holiday Requirement: As needed.

Responsibilities

As an ICU Registered Nurse, you will be responsible for:

Providing high-quality care to patients with neuro and stroke-related conditions.
Maintaining a patient-to-nurse ratio of 1:2, and sometimes 1:3.
Working collaboratively with healthcare teams to ensure the best outcomes for patients.
Floating to other inpatient units and various locations within the region as necessary.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:

Current Illinois RN license.
BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications.
3+ years of experience in an ICU setting with a focus on neuro and stroke care.
Proficiency in EPIC charting.
New graduates are not accepted for this role.

Experience Preferred

5+ years of ICU nursing experience is preferred.
