Pharmacy Technician - Fulfillment (Overnight Shift)

Under the supervision of a Registered Pharmacist, the Fulfillment Pharmacy Technician I is responsible for the filling and packaging of prescriptions in an accurate and timely manner for delivery to our customers. Schedule Needed: Monday-Friday: 9:00 PM to 7:00 AM Or Sunday - Thursday 10:00 PM to 6:00 AM Attributes: Work Ethic/Integrity - must possess intrinsic drive to excel coupled with values in line with company philosophy Strategy and Planning - ability to think ahead, plan and manage time efficiently Problem Solving - ability to analyze causes and solve problems at both a strategic and functional level Team Oriented - ability to work effectively and collaboratively with all team members Essential Job Functions (include the following): Prepare prescription orders by verifying information and pulling appropriate prescriptions from inventory. Apply labels to medication packaging, scan, package, and assemble medications into appropriate bins accurately and in a timely manner. Alert the pharmacist on duty of any medication that is not scanning properly. Operate medication packaging equipment as required. Experience with Dosis or Parata is a plus but not required. Participate in training and development activities to gain proficiency in other Fulfillment workflow areas, including the operation of packaging equipment. Communicate inventory needs to ensure adequate medication supplies are available to complete orders. Assist in maintaining inventory at appropriate levels, including removing expired or unused medications, marking used bottles, organizing inventory, and assisting with physical inventory as needed. Consistently meet the pharmacy's established accuracy and productivity levels while maintaining strong attention to detail and a steady work pace. Work collaboratively with supervisors and other functional areas to keep workflow moving smoothly and efficiently. Maintain a clean and orderly workstation, return medications to appropriate locations, and replenish necessary supplies. Perform duties in a fast-paced, labor-intensive overnight environment , with the majority of work involving medication packaging and potentially extended periods of sitting and/or standing. Maintain a current Pharmacy Technician license as required for the position. Comply with local, state, and federal laws, regulations, and policies pertaining to the dispensing of prescription medications. Other essential functions and duties may be assigned as needed. Education and Certifications: High School Diploma or GED (per state requirements) Pharmacy Technician license/certification/registration (per state requirements); National Certification preferred (PTCB) Skills and Qualifications: 1+ years of related experience (technical knowledge/skills may substitute for experience) Basic computer skills required Ability to work independently and deliver to deadlines Great attention to detail and accuracy Ability to excel in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment working on multiple tasks simultaneously, while adhering to strict deadlines Quality minded; motivated to seek out errors and inquire about inaccuracies Work Environment: Ability to work flexible hours What We Offer: Guardian provides employees with a comprehensive Total Rewards package, supporting our core value of, "Treat others as you would like to be treated."
