Job Description\n American Traveler is seeking a travel nurse RN Labor and Delivery for a travel nursing job in Austin, Texas.Job Description & Requirements\n \n Specialty: Labor and Delivery\n Discipline: RN\n Start Date: 09/28/2026\n Duration: 13 weeks\n 36 hours per week\n Shift: 12 hours, days\n Employment Type: Travel\n \n Assignment Overview\n \n Shift: Days, 3x12hrs\n Hours: 36 hrs/wk\n Start Date: Sep 28, 2026\n Length: 13 weeks\n Openings: 3\n Description\n American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Labor & Delivery position requiring 2+ years of L&D experience and specialized fetal monitoring certification.Details\n \n 13-week seasonal contract assignment on a 32-bed Labor & Delivery unit\n Day shift schedule from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM with rotating weekends\n No on-call requirements\n Staffing includes charge and co-charge nurses per shift with RN ratios of 1:1 to 1:2\n Uses Novii, JADA, Fetal Pillow, IUPC, FSE, Toco, and ultrasound equipment\n Meditech EMR used\n Typical procedures include SVD, cerclages, C-sections, and TOLAC\n Permanent positions also available on this unit\n Requirements\n \n Active TX or compact RN license required\n Current BLS, ACLS, and NRP (Advanced 9th Edition) certifications required\n Intermediate or advanced AWHONN or NCCEFM fetal monitoring certification required\n SVE competency and C-section circulation experience required\n Minimum 2 years of recent L&D nursing experience required\n Internal monitor placement competency preferred\n Previous HCA assignment or employment preferred\n Experience in a high-volume Level IV unit preferred\n No employment gaps of 90+ days within the past 12 months\n US SSN and DOB required for consideration\n One professional reference required (two required for Florida and Missouri candidates)\n Additional Information\n \n Provide direct patient care for laboring and postpartum patients including circulating for C-sections\n Work alongside a supportive team of charge and co-charge nurses on each shift\n Navy blue scrubs required; solid blue, black, or grey sweatshirts permitted; t-shirts not acceptable\n Must maintain a positive, team-oriented attitude in a fast-paced unit\n Must adhere to unit attendance policies\n Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible for this position; local candidates will not be considered\n \n \n American Traveler Job ID #P-753712.
