Pride Health is hiring a Medical Laboratory Scientist - Traveler to support our client’s medical facility in Grand Rapids, MI 49503 . This is a 5+ month assignment with the possibility of a contract-to-hire opportunity , offering an excellent chance to work with a leading healthcare organization. Job Title: Medical Laboratory Scientist - Traveler Location: Grand Rapids, MI 49503 Schedule: Eastern 2:30 pm to 11 pm Duration: 5+ Months Required Qualifications Associate's degree in Medical Laboratory Science or a related field ASCP Certification required Experience with: Gram stains Positive blood cultures PCR testing Job Responsibilities Perform laboratory testing and analysis on patient specimens to support diagnosis and treatment. Follow established laboratory procedures, quality assurance standards, and safety protocols. Prepare reagents, maintain laboratory supplies, and manage inventory. Troubleshoot laboratory equipment and testing issues while ensuring accurate results. Assist with procedure updates and documentation to maintain CAP, TJC, and OSHA compliance. Communicate effectively with laboratory staff and leadership regarding patient care and operational concerns. Participate in competency assessments, department meetings, and quality improvement initiatives.
