Occupational Therapist

IEP Therapy is seeking a dedicated Occupational Therapist to join our Healthcare & Medical Services department supporting students within the Educational Services setting. As an Occupational Therapist with IEP Therapy, you will work directly with school-aged children to help them develop the skills they need to participate fully in their educational programs and daily school routines. You will provide individualized and small-group therapy services, conduct comprehensive evaluations, and develop student-centered treatment plans that align with Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and educational goals.

In this role, you will collaborate closely with special education teams, classroom teachers, school psychologists, speech-language pathologists, and families to ensure that therapy goals are functional, educationally relevant, and integrated into the school day. Your responsibilities will include assessing fine motor, visual-motor, sensory processing, self-care, and school participation needs; writing clear and measurable goals; delivering direct and consultative therapy services; documenting progress; and participating in IEP meetings, eligibility conferences, and multidisciplinary team discussions.

You will use evidence-based practices and standardized assessment tools to guide your clinical decision-making, adapt classroom materials and environments to support student access, and provide training, strategies, and resources to teachers and paraprofessionals. You may assist with seating and positioning recommendations, use of adaptive equipment and assistive technology, and the development of sensory regulation and motor skills programs to improve student engagement and independence.
