AI Product Engineer

We are working with the world's most popular AI Gateway, trusted by leading enterprises across tech, healthcare, and telecom. They provide a unified API for 100+ LLM providers along with routing, authentication, budgets, observability, and governance for production AI systems, and are used by the likes of Netflix, NVIDIA and NASA.

They are looking for AI product engineers who can own features end to end and take a high level of ownership. This company do not have any PMs within the business, so engineers own product decisions in close collaboration with the founders, and you will be responsible for leading the build of their second flagship product.

Responsibilities:

• Produce high-quality, maintainable, and scalable technical work, with a strong focus on reliability, scalability, and readability.
• Take full ownership of product features, from ideation and design to implementation, testing, and deployment.
• Show initiative by staying current on emerging technologies and suggesting improvements to our stack and processes.
• Demonstrate reliability through proactive communication, clear timelines, and the ability to unblock yourself and others when needed.
• Spend time understanding and developing a deep intuition of the product that you're building.

Requirements:

• 1+ years of full-time software engineering experience
• Bachelor's or advanced degree in Computer Science or a related field from target school
• Strong full-stack experience
• Proficiency in Python is important
• AI-native - comfortable with coding tools such as Cursor, Claude Code or CodeX

Nice to Have:

• Experience in an early-stage start-up (Seed through Series D)
• Previous experience as a founding engineer or as a founder is a plus
• Experience with developer tooling
• Comfort interacting with LLM tooling and willingness to learn about agentic workflows
