Finance & Accounting Specialist

Overview

We're seeking a detail-oriented Finance & Accounting Specialist to support a busy finance team. The role covers a range of finance and accounting areas, including financial planning and analysis, accounting, tax, treasury, accounts payable/receivable, and collections. It's a great opportunity for an early-career professional to gain broad exposure across the finance function.

Responsibilities

Run financial reports and prepare supporting information for tax schedules and filings
Support the preparation and submission of state and local tax filings and extensions
Prepare the daily cash balance report and assist with cash transfers
Monitor banking activity and follow up on outstanding checks and unclaimed property requirements
Assist with preparing financial reports and ensure transactions are recorded accurately
Review incoming correspondence and route or resolve requests as needed
Provide administrative support to finance leadership, including records management and filing

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field preferred (equivalent experience considered)
1–3 years of finance or accounting experience
Strong Excel skills for reconciliations and reporting
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
Strong analytical skills to spot discrepancies, trends, and potential issues
Clear written and verbal communication skills
Ability to quickly learn financial systems and software
Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to meet deadlines
