Process Engineer

Our client is seeking an experienced Process Engineer – Injection Molding to support the development of medical components in a highly regulated manufacturing environment. This role will develop and optimize injection molding processes, support new mold sampling and process development, troubleshoot production issues, and lead continuous improvement initiatives. This is a critical opportunity for an experienced injection molding professional. Candidates must have a minimum of 3 years of experience with new mold sampling and developing new processes for new molds. Key Responsibilitie sDevelop robust injection molding processes using scientific molding technique s, including gate freeze analysis, short shot analysis, and other process development methods

• Lead new mold sampling and process developmen t for new tooling
• Establish and optimize process parameters for injection molding operations
• Develop processes using decoupled molding principle s and scientific molding techniques
• Maintain engineering documentation, including DOE reports, process sheets, water diagrams, and other technical files
• Partner with Quality to validate injection molding processes using sound statistical methods
• Author test protocols and execute validation protocols in accordance with ISO and FDA medical device requirement s
• Lead continuous improvement projects focused on process capability, quality, efficiency, and waste reduction
• Conduct failure investigations and use structured problem-solving and statistical methods to identify root causes and implement corrective actions
• Review documentation for accuracy and completeness prior to setup sign-off
• Provide technical training and coaching to peers and Process Technicians
• Promote a safe, clean, and organized manufacturing environment
• Follow all applicable safety policies and procedures
• Perform other duties as assigned
• Required

:High school diploma or equivalent

• Minimum 3 years of experience with new mold sampling AND developing new processes with new molds
• Demonstrated experience implementing decoupled molding processes and scientific molding technique s
• Strong knowledge of injection molding machines, mold setup, mold functions, and process development
• Knowledge of plastic resins and polymer materials
• Ability to troubleshoot molding processes and identify root causes
• Ability to provide specific examples of new mold sampling and process development during an interview
• Preferred

:Secondary education related to plastics injection molding, or equivalent combination of education and hands-on molding experience

• Experience with statistical process controls
• Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing tools such as 5S, Kaizen, and Value Stream Mappin g
• Experience in a medical device or other highly regulated manufacturing environment
• Knowledge of plastic product design for manufacturing (DFM) and tooling engineering
