- Seeking a full-time academic faculty physician specializing in Infectious Disease.
- This position offers a unique opportunity to join a collaborative team that blends academic medicine with clinical practice across Dayton and the surrounding region.
- As a faculty member, you will play an integral role in educating and training medical students, residents, and fellows, while providing care to a diverse patient population in a variety of clinical settings.
- In this role, you will be part of one of the most comprehensive healthcare systems in Southwest Ohio, and Wright State University s Boonshoft School of Medicine.
- This partnership creates a dynamic environment where patient care, clinical research, and medical education intersect. As a faculty physician, you will contribute to improving patient outcomes, advancing clinical innovation, and shaping the next generation of healthcare professionals.
- Health system includes five inpatient hospital campuses, a broad network of urgent care centers, free-standing emergency departments, and specialized services
- Academic excellence of Wright State University, offers an unparalleled platform for growth and impact in both healthcare and medical education.
- Participating in didactic teaching, journal clubs, clinical case conferences, and other teaching assignments for residents and medical students, as assigned by and in collaboration with the department and BSOM s academic leadership.
- Contributing to the division s clinical/patient care, research, and teaching missions.
- Clinical teaching, supervision, and patient care on the division s services, including a combination of contributions to the inpatient teaching service, Miami Valley Infection Specialists clinics; working with a large outpatient HIV population, other infectious diseases including but not limited to:
- Antibiotic therapy supervision, Complicated wound care, Hepatitis B, Hepatitis C, Chronic urinary tract infections, HIV, Lyme Disease
- Regular outpatient clinical practice.
- APP collaboration for both Inpatient and Outpatient clinical practice
- Board Certified / Board Eligible Infectious Disease
- Ability to hold an Ohio State Medical License
- US Citizen or Permanent Resident Status
- MD, DO or MBBS degree
- Completed Internal Medicine residency
- Completed Infectious Disease fellowship
- Federally-issued DEA License
