We are looking for a Senior Systems Engineer Microsoft 365 with deep hands-on experience supporting enterprise email, collaboration, identity, security, and Microsoft 365 environments.

This is a highly technical role within the Enterprise Messaging & Collaboration Services (EMCS) team.

Must-Have Experience:

8+ years managing Microsoft Exchange & Microsoft 365 platform services
Exchange Online + Exchange Server
Hybrid Exchange environments
Microsoft Entra ID / Azure AD
Azure AD Connect / Entra Connect
Microsoft Teams
PowerShell automation
Microsoft Graph
SSO, Federation & Authentication
Directory Synchronization
Microsoft Purview
M365 Copilot deployment/support
Cisco IronPort or comparable enterprise email security
Quest Archive Manager or comparable email archiving technology
Level 3 troubleshooting of Outlook & Exchange issues

Key Technical Responsibilities:

Design, implement, and support enterprise Microsoft 365 and email collaboration solutions
Manage Exchange Online and on-prem Exchange in hybrid environments
Resolve complex Level 3 Outlook/Exchange issues including Autodiscover, shared mailboxes, calendar delegation, email tracking, meeting errors, delayed delivery, restoration, and online archives
Support Microsoft Teams sites, channels, applications, permissions, calendars, and restorations
Develop automation using PowerShell and Microsoft Graph
Configure and support SSO, federation, authentication, and directory synchronization
Support M365 Copilot deployment and administration
Implement Microsoft Purview and collaboration security solutions
Manage enterprise email security/filtering and archiving platforms
Secure both on-premises and cloud-based collaboration environments
Handle critical escalations and high-priority incidents
Provide technical leadership, documentation, KPIs, and operational reporting

Preferred:

Government IT experience
Technical Lead / Work Lead experience
Microsoft 365, Exchange, Azure, or related certifications
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field - or equivalent experience
