Role Overview As the Field Research Manager, you will lead a dispersed team of Field Researchers responsible for capturing critical on‑site data across high‑priority commercial properties. This data—covering current tenants, available listings, and building characteristics—provides the foundation for all CoStar Group products, delivering the most accurate and comprehensive market intelligence to our clients. Your focus will be overseeing the team’s production and quality, driving high performance and providing coaching to ensure excellence in data collection. This role is based in Sydney and requires approximately 25% monthly travel to interstate capital cities. Key Responsibilities Build, train, mentor, and coach a growing team of 8 professional Field Researchers. Provide constructive, actionable feedback and create action plans to help team members grow, succeed, and maintain engagement. Ensure the manager's schedule aligns with local Field Researchers. Daily review of the team’s production against KPI metrics. Review incoming data to determine its quality relative to standards and guidelines. Ensure the team meets both production and quality expectations. Communicate effectively and professionally with employees and internal partners to meet company objectives. Work closely with Tenant and Market Research teams. Spend time in the field with Field Researchers to demonstrate best practices for data collection, time management, and overall efficiency. Requires one week of travel to local markets monthly. Qualifications Education: Bachelor’s degree required. Experience: 3–5 years of direct operations management, preferably managing 5+ employees (virtual management is a plus). Experience managing effective Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and meeting performance metrics. Field experience is a plus. Skills & Abilities: Strong leadership and management skills, including prioritizing a team's workload and verifying the quality of incoming data. Proven success in building strong, cohesive teams through influence and collaboration. Excellent communication and organizational skills, able to articulate and execute corporate strategy. Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret information and trends, adapting quickly. Proficiency in Excel (data manipulation, filtering, and basic formulas) and MS Office applications (PowerPoint, Apple OS, and other internet applications). Why Join Us?
