Pay:$55, 000.00 - $67, 000.00 per year Job description: Location: Decatur, AL Salary:$55, 000 – $67, 000 per year Schedule: Full-Time | Monday – Friday | 1st Shift Job Summary AtWork Personnel is seeking an experiencedCAD Drafter for a growing company in Decatur, AL. This position is responsible for creating and revising detailed technical drawings and layouts that support engineering, manufacturing, and production. The ideal candidate will have strong AutoCAD experience, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to interpret engineering specifications and communicate effectively with internal teams. Essential Duties & Responsibilities Create detailed 2D and 3D technical drawings using CAD software. Prepare layouts, blueprints, and production drawings based on engineering specifications. Revise and update existing drawings as design changes occur. Collaborate with engineers, project managers, and production personnel to ensure drawing accuracy. Review drawings for completeness, accuracy, and compliance with company and industry standards. Maintain organized electronic drawing files and document revisions. Assist with product development and design improvements. Interpret engineering drawings, sketches, and specifications. Ensure projects are completed within established deadlines. Follow all company policies and maintain confidentiality of proprietary information. Perform other drafting and design-related duties as assigned. Qualifications Minimum of 3 years of CAD drafting experience required. Associate degree or technical certification in Drafting, Design Technology, Engineering Technology, or a related field preferred. Proficient in CAD software is a plus. Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and technical specifications. Strong mathematical and problem-solving skills. Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities. Effective verbal and written communication skills. Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines. Experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment preferred. Physical Requirements Ability to sit for extended periods while working at a computer. Ability to occasionally stand, walk, bend, and lift up to25 pounds. Manual dexterity to operate computers and drafting equipment. Ability to occasionally visit manufacturing or production areas while wearing required PPE.
