Data Analyst

Job Description

Insight Global is seeking a Data Analyst for a leading healthcare organization in Maryland. This role sits within the Director of the Office of Health Analytics and Informatics and partners closely with the BI team. The analyst will work across clinical, operational, and financial datasets to deliver accurate, timely insights that support the organization’s mission to be #1 in quality and safety. A major focus of this role is improving data validation processes and speeding up reporting delivery through better data practices and collaboration. This is an excellent opportunity to contribute to high-impact analytics initiatives within a sophisticated healthcare data environment.

Day-to-Day:

• Analyze clinical, operational, and financial data across UMMC & Mid Campus

• Partner with BI team to enhance and interpret datasets

• Build dashboards and reports in Tableau/Power BI

• Write and optimize SQL (Postgres) queries

• Perform data validation to ensure accuracy and reliability

• Deliver insights that support quality, safety, and operational performance goals

• Support initiatives to accelerate reporting timelines

Skills and Requirements

• Strong hands-on data analysis experience

• Experience working with BI teams and consuming curated datasets

• Tableau and/or Power BI experience

• Microsoft 365 familiarity, such as Microsoft Fabric

• Experience with healthcare data platforms (Clarity, Caboodle, Cogito)

• SQL (Postgres preferred)

• Ability to analyze clinical, operational, and financial data

• Strong data validation and quality assurance mindset

• Healthcare system experience • UMD (University of Maryland) degree preferred
