Patient Access Associate 2 - Bilingual

Job Description Inova Urology is looking for a dedicated Patient Access Associate 2 - Bilingual to join the team. This is full-time, Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. As a Patient Access Associate 2, you will adhere to Inova Health System's service excellence standards while admitting and scheduling patients, conducting insurance verifications, and providing financial counseling. You will ensure patient safety through problem solving and effective communication skills, actively listening to customer complaints. Patient Access Associate 2 Job Responsibilities Express sincere concern and empathy when dealing with customer complaints. Access appropriate systems/services to confirm insurance coverage or other payment methods. Communicate scheduling changes to patients, staff, physicians and patient representatives in a timely, professional manner. Identify and communicate payroll authorization and referral requirements to patients. Explain insurance benefits and patient liability using appropriate communication methods and styles. Report safety hazards or violations and take appropriate action to protect the environment and guests until help arrives, if necessary. Deliver an acceptable volume of work with high accuracy, improving inefficiencies and minimizing repetitive errors by revising workflow procedures. Recognize when a problem needs escalation and involve others in the problem‑solving process when additional input is required. Minimum Qualifications Education: High School Diploma or GED. Experience: One year of healthcare patient access experience, or one year of healthcare revenue cycle experience, or a bachelor degree. Preferred Requirements: Bilingual in Spanish.
