Chemist

Job Description We are looking for a Chemist to support analytical testing for tobacco products. Key responsibilities include routine sample preparation using wet chemistry techniques, operating smoking machines for tobacco product analysis, performing GC/GCMS testing, maintaining high accuracy and precision, documenting results in notebooks and computer systems, interpreting analytical procedures, calibrating instruments, troubleshooting errors, verifying data, and effectively communicating with client staff. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in chemistry, biology, or related field, or equivalent experience (2 years of related industry experience equals 1 full-time year of college in the major). 2‑4 years of experience working with GC. Experience in a cGMP and ISO 17025 environment. Strong computer, scientific, and organizational skills. Working knowledge of chromatography; experience with Empower or Chromeleon software is helpful. Excellent oral and written communication and attention to detail. Ability to work independently and as part of a team, self‑motivation, adaptability, and a positive attitude. Ability to learn new techniques, perform multiple tasks simultaneously, keep accurate records, follow instructions, and comply with company policies. Additional Information Position is full‑time, Monday – Friday 8:00 am to 5:00 pm. Candidates currently living within a commutable distance of Winston‑Salem, NC are encouraged to apply.
