What You'll Do

• Provide advanced care to ICU patients, including those with impella devices and NxStage dialysis systems
• Monitor and operate ICU equipment such as Alaris IV Pumps, Fresenius CRRT Dialysis machines, and GE Monitors
• Perform lab sticks, EKGs, and line starts as part of daily responsibilities
• Manage patient care in a high-acuity ICU environment with a 1:2 or 1:3 nurse-to-patient ratio, flexing to 1:4 in some units
• Collaborate with healthcare teams across various units, including float assignments to ED, PACU, MS, and PCU as needed
• Maintain compliance with all safety and infection control protocols, including COVID-19 precautions and N95 mask sizing

What You Need

• Active Louisiana Registered Nurse license and certifications in ACLS, BLS, CPI, & NIH (or willingness to obtain)
• Minimum of 2 years ICU experience, preferably with impella and NxStage systems
• Strong critical thinking, communication, and teamwork skills
• Ability to float across multiple ICU settings and handle various responsibilities including patient monitoring and equipment management
