Essential Functions Conduct various diagnostic imaging procedures, including angiography, cardiac catheterization, interventional radiology, and vascular procedures. Prepare and position patients for optimal imaging results. Operate imaging equipment to capture internal structures. Ensure equipment functions correctly, make necessary adjustments, and maintain a sterile environment. Collaborate with radiologists, cardiologists, and other physicians during procedures. Monitor patient vital signs and ensure safety during procedures. Qualifications High School Diploma or Equivalent required; associate’s degree in Radiologic Technology preferred. No licenses/credentials required; Registered Technologist (ARRT-R) preferred. Experience: 0-1 year preferred in imaging techniques (X-rays, fluoroscopy, ultrasound). Strong understanding of human anatomy/physiology, especially cardiovascular and interventional radiology systems. Proficiency in operating and maintaining specialized imaging equipment. Knowledge of radiation safety principles and protocols. Strong patient care skills, communication, emotional support, patient comfort. Critical thinking and problem-solving ability.
