Program Coordinator North Orange County Community College District Position Number: 2015945P Location: North Orange Continuing Education Department: NOCE-AC Career Technical Education Percentage of Employment: 100% Months of Employment: 12 Months Per Year Work Schedule: Monday- Friday, 8:30 AM - 5:30 PM (Scheduleand shift are subject to change in accordance with departmentneeds.) Job Description Serves as the lead for institution in the strategic fiscal andoperational coordination of a District or campus program or serviceprogram(s). Provides direction and coordination in theimplementation of the goals, objectives, policies, and proceduresof the assigned program(s). Provides technical information andexpertise to students, instructors, and staff, and externalpartners regarding program(s) and services, collaborate withstudents, community partners, faculty and staff to implementorganizational objectives and student programs. Responsible for independent grant development in area ofresponsibility including research of available grants in area orassignment, grant text, grant budget projections, staffingmatrices, submission requirements, program design, and other grantrequirements and deadlines. Coordinates the design, implementation and facilitation of StudentLearning Outcomes (SLOs), Student Support Services Quality Review(SSSQR), Student Services Master Plan (SSMP), accreditation,program review and/or other reports as assigned. Organizes,participates and services as the chair for general meetings,committee meetings, and special projects as assigned. Coordinatesprograms and services related to area of assignment. Develops and coordinates informational materials, presentations andworkshops regarding programs and services; develops materials fordistribution to promote activities and services; coordinates andparticipates in outreach activities to promote educationalawareness, opportunities and services of the area ofassignment. Researches and implements current and trending educationaldevelopment theories, legal requirements, labor market statistics,outreach-marketing, and best practices to serve diverse programneeds. Ensures compliance with campus, district, state and federalobjectives and regulatory requirements, including program relatedmandates. Coordinates use of facilities with faculty, staff, andstudents; maintains the safety and functionality of assigned areasof responsibility. Schedules and conducts meeting with faculty andstaff for program evaluations and improvement. Performs administrative duties related to the maintenance andefficiency of the assigned program(s); independently drafts andimplements various forms, letters, and correspondence; maintainsstudent attendance records, maintains confidential studentinformation and progress data on appropriate forms and records;compiles statistical data. Responsible for the preparation of the annual program(s) budget;monitors expenditures, initiates and develops grant one-timefunding requests; prepares fiscal reports as directed. Orders,maintains, receives, catalogs, and stores equipment, materials andsupplies; maintains inventories to assure adequate quantities areavailable for timely instructional use. Compiles and maintains a variety of records, logs, files, andstatistical reports related to the activities of assignedprogram(s); prepares and maintains a variety of records related tostudents and program activities. Develops and prepares materials for faculty and student use. Trains and provides work direction and guidance to others asdirected; coordinates professional development for new andcontinuing employees. Learns and applies emerging technologies and advances as necessaryto perform duties in an efficient, organized, and timelymanner. Participate in District/College efforts to increase the diversityof faculty and staff and to address student achievement gaps;active assistance in the creation of a welcoming and inclusive workand educational environment; attend and participate in diversity,equity and inclusion trainings and events. Performs related duties as assigned. Primary Purpose POSITION IS GRANT FUNDED This position is responsible for planning, coordinating, andorganizing a variety of programs, services, and activities toassist students and facilitate their educational goals, coordinatesuse of program(s) facilities with faculty, staff, andstudents. Working Relationships The Program Coordinator maintains frequent contact with variousdepartments, outside agencies, students, staff, and public. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Knowledge of district organization, policies, procedures, goals andobjectives of assigned department Knowledge of policy, procedure, local, state and federalregulations related to department operations Knowledge of the principles and practices of supervision, trainingand direction of personnel Knowledge of leadership, organization and project management Knowledge of project planning, research, analysis and grantdevelopment and submission, etc. Knowledge of specialized development applications, resources,equipment, techniques and strategies Knowledge of proper English usage, grammar, spelling, punctuationand vocabulary Knowledge of the proper methods, materials, tools and equipmentused in the assigned department Knowledge of appropriate safety precautions and procedures Knowledge of instructional methods and techniques Knowledge of modern office practices and procedures Knowledge of bookkeeping, record keeping, documentations, analysis,accounting principles, budget preparation and maintenance Knowledge and ability to operate computers, copiers and otherstandard office equipment Ability to present materials and to perform experiments anddemonstrations in the area assigned Ability to assist students in understanding and applying basicprinciples of the assigned subject area Ability to make arithmetic calculations quickly andaccurately Ability to work independently with little direction Ability to plan, organize and prioritize work Ability to meet schedules and time lines Ability to understand and follow oral and written directions Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and inwriting Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationshipswith others Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's degree from a regionally accreditedcollege/university. Four (4) years training or work experience directly related to theposition. Three (3) years of increasingly responsible professional experiencewithin an environment with high emphasis on customer service andprogram coordination, preferably in an educational setting. Experience working in Career Technical Education (CTE)programs. Knowledge of the California Community College system, includingnoncredit education, enrollment management, and student supportservices. Knowledge of the unique needs of special populations, includingstrategies to improve equitable access, participation, completion,and employment outcomes for diverse student populations. Experience collaborating with faculty, administrators, employers,community organizations, and external partners to achieve programgoals. Excellent organizational, communication, and relationship-buildingskills, with the ability to work collaboratively across departmentswhile exercising sound judgment and independentdecision-making. Demonstrated ability to execute complex projects and implementpractical solutions in a fast-paced environment. A proficient problem-solving approach to quickly assess questionsand issues to provide technical assistance. Experience collaborating with faculty, staff, and/or communityleaders in programs and initiatives that are specifically designedto assist historically underrepresented students achieve theireducational goals. Salary Range: $6,913 - $8,346 Per Month Open Date: 08/18/2026 Close Date: 09/08/2026 Special Instructions Summary Work Schedule: District employees can apply for theFlexible/Hybrid Work Program, working a hybrid schedule of remotework and in-person each week.
