Shipping Clerk
The Shipping Clerk plays a crucial role in ensuring the efficient and accurate processing of shipments within our warehouse. This position is responsible for managing the shipping and receiving operations, which includes preparing orders for dispatch and verifying incoming shipments. The Shipping Clerk will utilize various tools and technologies, such as RF scanners and electric pallet jacks, to streamline the workflow and maintain inventory accuracy. Attention to detail is essential, as the role involves checking orders for completeness and ensuring that all items are correctly labeled and documented. Ultimately, the Shipping Clerk contributes to the overall success of the supply chain by ensuring timely and accurate delivery of products to our customers.
Minimum Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a shipping and receiving role or general warehouse environment.
- Familiarity with bar code scanning and inventory management systems.
- Must be US person to comply with ITAR regulations.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience operating electric pallet jacks and other warehouse equipment.
- Knowledge of shipping regulations and procedures.
- Forklift certification.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and package outgoing shipments according to company standards.
- Receive and inspect incoming shipments for accuracy and quality.
- Utilize RF scanners and bar code systems to track inventory and shipments.
- Coordinate with warehouse staff to ensure efficient order picking and filling.
- Maintain accurate shipping records and documentation for all transactions.
The required skills, such as proficiency with RF scanners and bar code systems, are essential for accurately tracking inventory and ensuring that shipments are processed efficiently. Experience with electric pallet jacks and general warehouse operations allows the Shipping Clerk to navigate the warehouse safely and effectively.
