Location: Lee County, South Carolina. Candidates must live within approximately 2 to 2.5 hours of Lee County and be available to travel for field visits and landowner meetings.

In this role, you will be part of the field team supporting projects in and around Lee County, South Carolina, helping landowners feel informed, heard, and respected while keeping projects moving forward.

The Role

As a Right of Way Agent, you will serve as a key point of contact between Halo, our clients, and local landowners. You will help secure easements, surface use agreements, access rights, and related documents for energy and infrastructure projects.

You will conduct landowner outreach, explain project details, negotiate agreements within approved authority, and maintain accurate documentation throughout the acquisition process. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with people, managing field assignments, and following through on commitments.

What You Will Do

Your days will include landowner outreach, field meetings, document review, negotiations, and team coordination. Some work will happen by phone or email. Other work will take place at a landowner’s kitchen table, during a route walk, or on a tract visit. You will manage your assignments while keeping the team informed of progress, challenges, and next steps.

• Build trust with landowners through calls, letters, field visits, and personal meetings.
• Explain easement terms, access needs, project activities, and potential impacts in plain language.
• Negotiate agreements within approved limits and escalate complex requests or issues promptly.
• Review exhibits, parcel data, route details, surveys, and work descriptions for accuracy.
• Coordinate document execution and confirm that agreement packages are complete.
• Maintain accurate contact notes, acquisition updates, trackers, and closeout records.
• Identify ownership, access, or agreement concerns early and coordinate with the appropriate team.
• Support route walks, staking requests, and tract visits in Lee County and surrounding project areas.

You will partner with Project Managers, Title, GIS, Admin, field teams, and clients to resolve issues and keep project information accurate and current.
