This role involves evaluating and treating musculoskeletal, vascular, and neurological conditions with patient-specific therapies. You will provide education and preventive care to patients, their families, healthcare associates, and the broader community. Acting as a vital link between patients, families, physicians, nursing staff, and social services, you will ensure the seamless delivery and coordination of occupational therapy services.

Essential Responsibilities:

• Apply clinical expertise and sound judgment to care for patients across all age groups, from pediatric to geriatric, tailoring treatment plans and education accordingly.
• Operate therapeutic equipment such as ultrasound, electrical stimulation units, mechanical traction devices, exercise machines, and wound care tools.
• Guide patients in the use of assistive devices, braces, orthotics, prosthetics, and orthopedic equipment.
• Support patients with mobility, strengthening exercises, muscle reeducation, gait training, activities of daily living, and functional training.
• Modify traditional physiotherapeutic techniques for patients who have difficulty understanding verbal instructions or performing exercises independently.
• Maintain thorough documentation of patient care in compliance with regulatory and departmental standards.
• Engage in continuous quality improvement initiatives, including peer reviews and patient care evaluations.
• Exemplify excellent communication and customer service skills with patients, families, and colleagues.
• Collaborate effectively across departments to enhance patient care and uphold organizational values and mission.
• Supervise aides, students, and volunteers as needed.
• Support departmental functions and contribute to staff education on a rotating basis.
• Commit to ongoing professional development relevant to clinical practice and patient diagnoses.

Education and Experience:

Graduation from an accredited Physical, Occupational, or Speech Therapy program recognized by the American Physical Therapy Association, American Occupational Therapy Association, or American Speech-Language-Hearing Association. A minimum of a Bachelor of Science degree is required. Continuing education relevant to clinical practice and professional duties is expected, along with active participation in professional organizations at local, state, and national levels.

Licensure and Certifications:

• Must hold or be eligible for licensure in the applicable state.
• CPR certification is required.

Work Shift: 1st Shift, full-time (40 hours per week)

Location: Serving patients in a regional healthcare setting within the Midwest United States.
