Job Description & Requirements Specialty: Pediatric Med Surg Discipline: RN Start Date: 01/04/2027 Duration: 13 weeks 36 hours per week Shift: 12 hours, nights Employment Type: Travel Registered Nurse (RN) - Pediatrics Position Overview We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) with Pediatric experience to provide high-quality nursing care to pediatric patients. This role may require floating to the pediatric emergency department to assist with general pediatric patients boarding in the ED. Schedule Shift: Days, 7 PM - 7 AM Weekly Hours: 36 hours Holiday Rotation: Must work 1-2 of 3 upcoming Summer holidays (Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day) Weekend Requirement: Every 3rd weekend Unit Details Patient Types: Pediatric Hematology/Oncology, Medical-Surgical, and all Pediatric specialties Floating: May rotate between NICU, General Pediatric Floor, and PICU Staffing Ratios: 1:2-4 Bed Size: 14 Qualifications Minimum of 24 months of Pediatric and/or Oncology nursing experience required Pediatric experience within the last 18 months required Hematology/Oncology experience required Experience with EPIC electronic medical record systems within the last 12 months required Must be willing to float to the Emergency Department to care for inpatient holds APHON certification required Licensure and Certifications Active Iowa license or compact/multistate license required at the time of submission Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from AHA or ARC required Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification from AHA required Documented membership with the Association of Pediatric Hematology/Oncology Nurses (APHON) required Additional Information This is a unique opportunity for an experienced Pediatric RN to join a dynamic team and make a meaningful impact in the lives of pediatric patients and their families.
