HHA / NA Morning Part Time

Position: HHA / NA Evening Part Time Location: Enfield, CT Job Id: 200 # of Openings: 1 Responsibilities Prepares, administers and records select oral, nasal, transdermal, rectal, inhalant, topical and ophthalmic scheduled medication to residents under the supervision and direction of a licensed nurse and functions as a nursing assistant as needed. Nursing Assistant Duties The Nursing Assistant is expected to perform routine resident care duties as delegated by the registered nurse or licensed practical nurse as specified in the resident’s comprehensive assessment and plan of care. Such care includes assuring resident safety and assisting residents with their mobility and performing or assisting with personal cares (i.e., activities of daily living). Qualifications High school education or equivalent. Successfully completed an approved Medication Assistant Training Program and is certified in CT for medication administration. Received instruction on medication actions, medication effects on body systems and side effects, especially in relation to geriatric residents. High school diploma, GED, or one to three months of related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Identify and recognize the uniqueness of each resident, including those with dementia. Demonstrate an ability to establish relationships with residents, sisters, employees, and families and communicate with respect and dignity.
