HUMAN RESOURCES SPECIALIST Full Time SANTA ANA, CA, US 3 days ago Requisition ID: 2292 Salary Range: $26.00 To $30.00 Hourly POSITION INFORMATION : The Human Resources Specialist is responsible for supporting day-to-day human resources operations with a primary emphasis on workers’ compensation administration, employee relations, disciplinary processes, and HR compliance. This role coordinates workplace injury claims, facilitates return-to-work programs, maintains accurate employee records, and supports performance management and corrective action processes. The Human Resources Specialist ensures consistent application of company policies, compliance with employment laws and regulations, and provides accurate HR reporting to support organizational decision-making. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES : Manage and coordinate workers’ compensation claims from injury reporting through claim closure, ensuring timely reporting, documentation, regulatory compliance, and accurate recordkeeping. Serve as the primary liaison between employees, supervisors, insurance carriers, medical providers, attorneys, and third-party administrators, while monitoring work restrictions and supporting return-to-work efforts. Conduct workplace incident investigations and partner with Safety and Operations teams to identify corrective actions, promote workplace safety, and reduce future injury risks. Provide guidance to employees and managers on company policies, procedures, workplace expectations, and employee relations matters. Administer and support employee disciplinary and corrective action processes, including coaching, documentation, performance improvement plans, suspensions, and terminations. Partner with managers and supervisors to address employee performance, attendance, conduct, workplace behavior concerns, and employee relations investigations involving complaints, misconduct, and policy violations. Maintain confidential employee records and HR documentation while ensuring compliance with labor laws, employment regulations, company policies, and employment practices. Prepare HR reports and track metrics related to workers’ compensation claims, safety incidents, attendance, discipline, and turnover. Assist with the development, implementation, and communication of HR policies and procedures, as well as employee onboarding, orientation, and offboarding activities. Perform other human resources duties and special projects as assigned. QUALIFICATIONS: Excellent written and verbal communication skills; bilingual in Spanish and English required. Knowledge of workers’ compensation claims administration, including claim reporting, MPNs, DWC forms, workers’ compensation documentation, and TPD/TTD benefits. Proficiency with HRIS systems (ADP Workforce Now preferred), Microsoft Office, Outlook, and related business applications. Strong organizational, multitasking, problem-solving, and decision-making skills with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. Ability to maintain confidentiality while demonstrating professionalism, initiative, adaptability, dependability, and sound judgment. #J-18808-Ljbffr
