Job Description - Psychiatrist-Advanced Depression Treatment Center- Part-time or Full-time (2300015I) Faculty Opportunity Psychiatrist-Advanced Depression Treatment Center DEPARTMENT OF PSYCHIATRY, UNIVERSITY OF MARYLAND SCHOOL OF MEDICINE, BALTIMORE The University of Maryland School of Medicine, Department of Psychiatry, is seeking a qualified part‑time or full‑time psychiatrist for our newly established Advanced Depression Treatment Center and Faculty Practice serving the UMB campus and broader Baltimore community. The position includes educational and clinical components involving comprehensive evaluations of treatment‑resistant depression (TRD) and delivery of novel therapies including transcranial magnetic stimulation (TMS) and esketamine. Supervision of a psychiatric physician assistant, third‑ and fourth‑year residents provides gratifying contributions to the next generation of providers in our field. The position carries a faculty appointment at the University of Maryland School of Medicine and candidates must be ABPN certified or eligible. Academic rank and salary are commensurate with experience. Attach letter of introduction and CV. Expected rank for this position will be Assistant Professor or higher, however, final rank and tenure status will be commensurate with selected candidate’s experience. Salary range for Assistant Professor MD, Part‑time 50% FTE: $116,000‑$170,000 Salary range for Assistant Professor MD, full‑time 100% FTE: $230,000‑$330,000 The referenced salary range reflects base pay for Assistant Professor which is based on faculty rank and years in rank. This salary range does not include all components of the Department faculty compensation program or pay from participation in department variable compensation programs. Therefore, the actual compensation paid to the selected candidate may vary from the salary range stated herein. For more information, please contact the hiring department. The referenced salary range represents the minimum and maximum salaries for this position and is based on the University of Maryland School of Medicine’s good faith belief at the time of posting. Not all candidates will be eligible for the upper end of the salary range. The actual compensation offered to the selected candidate may vary and will ultimately depend on multiple factors, which may include the successful candidate's geographic location, skills, work experience, internal equity, market conditions, education/training and other factors, as reasonably determined by the University.
