ID PROGRAM SPECIALIST 2 (Provider Coordinator)

This is a Merit Hire position. The hourly rate for this position is $29.27 per hour. Dauphin County Mental Health/Autism/Developmental Programs is currently accepting applications for the full-time position of ID Program Specialist 2, (Provider Coordinator). This position is responsible for program planning, analysis, and monitoring, as well as coordination of community Autism/Developmental Programs (A/DP) services. Responsible for overseeing provider operations within the Office of Developmental Programs (ODP), including new provider development, provider performance monitoring, risk management, variance review, and residential provider oversight. Ensures compliance, quality service delivery, and continuous improvement across ODP-funded services. This position has responsibility for ensuring the health, safety and welfare of citizens receiving support services through the ID/A programs. Work is performed under the direction of the Deputy Autism/Developmental Programs Administrator 2.

Additionally, this position assists with Early Intervention (EI) Program Specialist, onboarding processes, and ongoing monitoring of staff qualifications outlined in OCDEL EI regulations chapter 4226 in addition to Dauphin County policies and procedures

This position requires excellent communication skills – written, oral, and basic knowledge of computer technology, Microsoft Word, and Excel. The responsibilities of this position require some travel to services and meetings in all parts of the county and occasionally to other parts of the state. Occasional evening meetings are also required. The position is in the MH/A/DP Administrator’s Office.

Minimum Education, Experience, and Training Requirements:

• Two years of professional-level experience in the field of intellectual disabilities, and a bachelor's degree.

• Or any equivalent combination of experience and training, and a bachelor's degree.

Other Requirements:

At the time of hire, a valid driver’s license and positive driving record, a favorable criminal background check, child abuse and FBI clearances, as well as favorable references are required. The applicant must provide proof of a valid Pennsylvania driver’s license within 60 days from the date of hire. An alternative form of identification will be accepted if you are not eligible to receive a Pennsylvania driver’s license under 67 PA. Code § 83 and driving is not an essential function of the position.
