Registered Nurse Medical Surgical

Job Summary:
Seeking experienced Med Surg RNs for night shifts to provide high-quality patient care during peak tourism season. The role involves coverage for a 13-week contract with potential for additional assignments.

Responsibilities:

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to medical-surgical patients, including monitoring vital signs and administering medications.
• Utilize clinical skills to assess patient conditions, establish care plans, and collaborate with healthcare teams.
• Maintain accurate documentation using Meditech, ensuring compliance with hospital protocols.
• Perform patient education and discharge planning to promote recovery and well-being.
• Float to other Med Surg units within scope of practice as needed.
• Ensure all care activities meet regulatory standards and organizational policies.

Qualifications:

• Possess at least 2 years of recent medical-surgical nursing experience.
• Hold current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications.
• Demonstrate proficiency in patient assessment, medication administration, and clinical documentation.
• Be adaptable to shift requirements, including weekends and varied hospital assignments.
• Experience with telemetry is a plus but not mandatory.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
