Information Assurance Engineer

Salary: $125,000 - 140,000 per year Requirements:

• We require an AA or BS degree in Information Assurance, Cyber Security, Incident Response, Security Management, or a closely related cybersecurity discipline, or 1-2 years of relevant experience in cyber security, network administration, systems administration, or systems engineering.
• We require certification aligned with DoDM 8140.03, foundational qualification option 722 for Information Systems Security Manager.
• We need experience supporting a Microsoft Azure GCC High tenant.
• We need hands-on experience administering Microsoft Entra ID, Active Directory, Intune, Conditional Access, and Microsoft 365 services.
• We require experience with intrusion detection, intrusion prevention, firewall administration, and network security monitoring.
• We need experience managing or supporting Fortinet firewalls, Azure Firewall, VPN solutions, and secure remote access technologies.
• We require a solid understanding of NIST 800-171, NIST 800-53, CMMC L1/L2/L3, or comparable information security and assurance frameworks.
• We require the ability to create, update, and manage objects within Active Directory and Microsoft Entra ID.
• We need strong communication skills for working with IT managers, technical teams, business leaders, and external partners.
• We require experience administering Microsoft 365 services, including SharePoint, OneDrive, Defender, Purview, Exchange, and related compliance and security tools.
• We need experience managing Microsoft Azure services, including virtual servers, Azure Firewall, Azure VPN, storage accounts, logging, monitoring, and security services.
• We require experience managing Microsoft Entra services, including Azure AD, Conditional Access policies, MFA, identity governance, and user access controls.
• We need experience supporting endpoint security, mobile device management, workstation and server administration, patching, software updates, and inventory oversight.
• We require proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, Visio, and Adobe Acrobat.
• We require U.S. citizenship.
• We require the ability to obtain a Government Secret Security Clearance, and an active DoD Secret Clearance is preferred.
• We require a TS/SCI security clearance eligibility background investigation for access to classified information.
• We require the ability to commute to Bellevue, NE and work onsite.
• We prefer candidates who currently hold or are willing to obtain within the first 6 months CompTIA Security+, Microsoft Information Security Administrator Associate (SC-401), CISSP, CCSP, Microsoft Azure Fundamentals (AZ-900), or Microsoft Azure Administrator Associate (AZ-104).

• We develop, maintain, and strengthen cybersecurity policies, procedures, and best practices.
• We maintain documentation that supports the System Security Plan, risk assessments, security assessments, and CMMC / NIST compliance requirements.
• We support vulnerability management and patch management across company-owned assets, including workstations, servers, mobile devices, and cloud-hosted systems.
• We manage the security posture of our Microsoft Azure GCC High environment, including Microsoft Entra ID, Intune, Defender, Sentinel, Log Analytics, Azure VPN, Conditional Access, and Microsoft 365 security services.
• We monitor, administer, and review Fortinet firewalls, Azure Firewall, VPN access, and network security controls across our locations.
• We develop and present key risk indicators, key performance indicators, and cybersecurity metrics using multiple security and technology data sources.
• We identify applicable STIGs, track implementation progress, and support remediation activities.
• We prepare monthly cybersecurity and operational reports, maintaining the quality of the narrative, supporting data, and final deliverable.
• We create report content from concept through delivery, including technical risk assessments, executive summaries, follow-up items, formatting, grammar, and spelling.
• We improve the maturity of our metrics and reporting program by evaluating existing measures, identifying gaps, and designing new reporting approaches.
• We lead new communication and reporting methods to better inform leadership about cybersecurity risks, trends, and operational concerns.
• We conduct the annual metrics inventory review.
• We support the annual operational risk assessment and maintain the risk profile statement.
• We communicate complex technical issues and risk analysis results to business and technology leaders in clear, practical language.
• We coordinate with internal teams and key partners to advance projects, support objectives, and influence decisions.
• We manage user accounts, devices, inventory, and security review activities within Active Directory, Microsoft Entra ID, Intune, and related systems.
• We monitor cybersecurity tools and services, including intrusion detection, threat intelligence feeds, DNS protection, endpoint protection, firewall logs, and security alerts.
